Following the Government decision to close pubs in March, The Cellar House closed as requested. On Wednesday 29th April, we reopened both the Post Office and the Cellar House Grocery Shop & Off-licence.
As an off-licence we are stocking a range of local bottled real ales from Moongazer, Humpty Dumpty, Wildcraft, Boudicca Brewing, Wolf, Panther and Norfolk Raider Ciders. Cask Ale is available in 2-pint take-out containers. We have local gins too including Norfolk Gin, Home Farm & Whatahoot. We are stocking a range of fresh fruit and vegetables and grocery staples such as milk, bread, butter and flour. We are able to cater for a range of dietary requirements including gluten free flour and lactose free milk. Certain beer and gin products are available on line via mypubshop or using the CAMRA Brew2You app.
So save yourselves a trip to the supermarkets or standing in long queues, just don’t come if you’re unwell! Alternatively you can support us by purchasing a gift card for when we reopen – click here for the link.
As you would expect from your local community pub we are collecting for the Norwich Foodbank and for Norwich Best for Pets so please give generously. Also you can exchange books, games, DVDs and plants to alleviate lockdown monotony! Stay updated via our social media pages including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
The Cellar House is in a convenient location with ample car parking just south of Norwich off the A11 Newmarket Road and is only a 10-minute drive from Norwich city centre.
Eaton Village Post Office is housed within The Cellar House (at the end of the bar). See the opening hours and Post Office services that we offer.
“Great menu, friendly service and super choice of seating indoors and outside.”
